X-lite was born in 1998: a new brand for a new company backed up by 35 years of experience. Namely the history and experience of the Nolan Group, whose achievements in building up a philosophy around its motorcycling helmets with polycarbonate shell and then spreading and consolidating it within its main markets worldwide, has led the company to push the boundaries of its own experience and know-how, and move into the composite materials arena.

This new challenge is aimed at the most demanding and experienced riders, and not only provides the same product culture, but also embraces the application of different materials and manufacturing techniques. Decades of technological research with a determined approach to manufacture the very best helmets lay the foundations of X-lite philosophy. We have created a special plant for the exclusive production of fibre helmets.

This fits coherently into our view of complete specialization in the production cycle, where the most advanced industrial technology ensures a high standard of quality, and goes hand in hand with the handicraft and skill which are typically associated with the processing of composite materials.
